Summary
To serve as a member of the Shipping team, assist in managing departmental resources.    

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.  All of the following are to be performed while adhering to OR operational policies, procedures, and safety rules.


Utilize assigned equipment to pick orders, access back stock, and prepare items for shipment.

Respond to Customer Service inquiries in a detailed and timely manner.

Assist in both front and back stock inventory accuracy, basic inventory control and basic shipping/receiving.

Prepare necessary end of day freight documentation and facilitate movement of boxes to and from the loading dock.

Complete other assignments as assigned and provide progress reports.

Suggest/implement ideas to improve efficiency of systems in place.

Assist in maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.    

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Other Qualifications     
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); three to six months experience in a warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to work well on a team as well as independently.  Extreme detail orientation.  Ability to multi-task.  Ability and willingness to work with a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce.  Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record.
 
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
of organization.  Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.        

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.

crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up
to 50 pounds, and on occasion up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability
to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes
or airborne particles.  The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical
parts, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.  The noise level in the work
