Key Accountabilities

1 |
Identify and acquire Raw Materials (RM,) equipment and supplies needed to support the manufacturing’s output plan, and support systems. |

Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors in order to consistently guarantee the lowest purchased cost, acceptable level of quality and best deliveries possible as required to meet scheduling demands |

Establish and maintain Standard RM unit costs applying known pricing information, and established landing metrics in the calculations. |

4 |
Negotiate initial best pricing with selected Vendors. Identify volume/price cost savings opportunities for existing RM styles as they arise in the normal flow of output demands. |

Set up and Maintain all RM SKU and RM vendor related files in the MRP. |
|
6 |
Document and track RM landing detail, to include receipt to MRP, price and landing cost entry and analysis, and relevant communication with vendors. |

Month end, quarterly, and year end RM inventory value and inventory write down analysis for Planning and Finance teams. |

8 |
Identify obsolete material and implement solutions to maximize cost recovery. |
|
9 |
Track delivery performance, and shipping accuracy and quality for all RM Vendors. Summarize and submit results quarterly. |

Obtain Certificates of compliance and MSDS sheets from all vendors. |

Assist Product Development in sourcing materials for new or updated product styles. |
Education Required
· Bachelors degree required. Coursework in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or accounting preferred.
Experience Required
· Minimum two years of experience Purchasing materials and supplies in a manufacturing environment, utilizing MRP software. Familiarity with domestic vendor sources fabrics and hardware utilized in technical clothing and accessories is preferred.
Skills Required
· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and Outlook.
· MRP or other materials planning systems.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Critical thinking capability.
· Self-motivation, a sense of urgency, and high ethical standards.
· Negotiation skills with strong aptitude for resolving conflicts with vendors.
